2016 Diary {Holiday Blogging}

Friday 29th of April 2016.
Based on: What book I read & What I did today.
Upcoming Post: Narrative Writing - The Great Well of Amsterdam.

What Book did I read?
Today, I finally finished reading my Duffy Book, 'Making Bombs for Hitler'. If I would have to rate this book, I would probably give it a 9/10. 'Making Bombs for Hitler', was a very interesting and a book that I would want to read over and over. I then, moved on to reading the second book of the Hunger Games. I finished the first book a while ago, and found it very splendid. The name for the second book is 'Hunger Games Catching Fire'.
What did I do today?
Well today... my little brothers and I attended our big church rehearsal for Sunday. It was pretty nerve wrecking having to read four readings all by heart. I am just really relieved that, that was done and I'm definitely not looking forward for Sunday.

What am I looking forward to?
Right now, I am looking forward to going back to school, because I really miss being around kids my age and having to see them everyday. I am also looking forward to finishing the second book of the 'Hunger Games'.

2016 Diary {Holiday Blogging}

Tuesday 26th of March 2016
Based on: Where I spent my day & What I did.

Today I spent almost my whole day, going out. Well.... the first thing my family did, was head down to Botany to do some shopping. Just about 2 and a half hours after we did our shopping we returned back home and waited until it struck 4 o'clock.
Once it hit 4, we headed off to church because we had something called 'Fakame Practise'. I actually enjoyed going today, because Faleaka and most of my friends from church actually turned up for practise.
This practically what I did today!

Story Online - Catching the Moon {Holiday Blogging}

Book Title: Catching the Moon
Author: Crystal Hubbard
Illustrator: Randy DuBurke

Today I decided to choose a story on Story Online called
"Catching the Moon". This story was about a young girl named "Marcenia Lyle", who loved Baseball. One night her Granddad walked into her bedroom and asked her how her baseball game went. She replied happily and told him that her team won. Marcenia's Granddad then said, "Only if you didn't rip your dress". It made her feel as it he was shattering her dreams of being a baseball player. The next day, there was a special guest who came over to ask the baseball team, if they wanted to join a baseball camp. "I don't allow girls in my camp, but you're a fast runner", the guest told Marcenia. She then got handed these special Baseball Shoes that made her day quite better than the rest. Marcenia returned back home to her father and told him what happened on that day, she was still disappointed that she wasn't allowed into the camp.
I think this was a very special book, because the author is telling so many girls around the world, that we are capable of anything. I would definitely recommend this book for my Best Friends, Alecia & Sammy.

Last day of Term 1

Friday 15th of April 2016

Today was the last day of Term 1. It was quite an amazing way to end off Term 1. We had Athletics and I have to say, it was the most breathtaking Athletics that I have ever competed in, during my life in St Pius. Indeed I enjoyed running with such good competitors and also enjoyed being around such wonderful company. I am not saying that I am not proud of anyone else, but I am indeed proud of myself because my whole 7 years in St Pius, I have only placed 1st or 2nd Place, in Athletics, which is an achievement I will treasure, and take onto college. Our class also received our first Duffy Books of Term 1 2016.
