A Boring Weekend...
Day by day, hour by hour. “Tick Tock, Tick Tock”, goes the clock. Just sitting there listening to cars passing by, sirens going off. How boring can my life get?
All of a sudden, I found myself in the middle of a strange, hair-rising, bizarre forest.
While walking through the dark, mysterious forest,
I could hear my name being called out several times. It got louder and louder & louder and louder. When!!!, suddenly I realized I was daydreaming and that I was still stuck in my dull household.
As I was about to fall asleep, I could hear my mum’s voice echoing down the hallway. “I have an ocean full of dishes for you to clean”. I tried to ignore her, she called again and again, and that’s when I knew I had to get up before she turns into a dragon.
Seeing the ocean full of dishes made me a bit anxious & even drowsy. While washing the dishes, I found myself in the middle of a peculiar beach, sitting and staring at the ocean.
“Look at the mess you have made, the water is going to overflow”, a voice explained. The same voice was calling my name several times (again!). Suddenly!!!!! I felt like someone was shaking me. The shake was going on for a while, I suddenly clicked. I was daydreaming again (see! my life is sooo boring!). “Wash the dishes now”, she yelled. I instantly washed the dishes, so I could leave. I finally left my mother’s territory and departed myself to my monotonous room.
“What a boring weekend”, I cried. Now I know the secret of having fun, just imagine.

Importance of Education
(Education is the key to success). Imagine a world without any schools or even colleges! Impossible right? I know how much we hate waking up early for school or studying all night for those tests or exams. We all know that education is very important.
I think that every single one of us in this room should be able to make it into college by the time we finish intermediate because everyone has the potential to be successful, whether it’s you, you, or you.
“Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world” As quoted by Nelson Mandela.. Education helps us a lot to sharpen our skills. Without Education, we would be living on the streets, we would have no money and we would be a total nobody (right?).
Education gives us knowledge about the world we live in, the universe and beyond. It is important for everyone to have education a part of their life, without education we or I wouldn’t be where we are now.
Education is more than just reading, writing, spelling, maths and so on. It’s also not about being the top student and getting amazing marks. Education is all about having a choice, it is not about being rich and successful, it’s about using it to do something you love.
There are many bad stereotypes about Pacific Islanders, like,
That they are going to have bad jobs, we are lazy, they will struggle in life or they will obviously become criminals. I believe that these stereotypes about Islanders are all lies. If we concentrate on education now. Our futures will be positive and these stereotypes will disappear. Take education seriously, work hard, and choose your future.
“Education is the key to unlock the golden door of freedom”, As Quoted by George Washington Carver.

Message in a Bottle
Message in a bottle was an article I found on Dogo News. This article interested me because it was the oldest message in a bottle ever found.
The Lost!!!
The Lost!!!
Some time ago, there lived a lonely princess who sadly lost her parents at the age of 8. While growing up she felt lonely. So one particular day, the Princess went searching for a Prince.
The Princess left her castle, and strolled down to the nearest castle. Her first stop was to King Arthur’s Castle. She entered the castle and there was no one to be found.
Princess Amalia, made her way to every single room in the castle. The first room smelt like burnt underwear, (in fact there was underwear everywhere in that room), the next room had a note flying around. Amalia tried to catch the note, but she couldn’t, she tried her best to catch it but it finally landed in her hands.
The note read “ If you are reading this, I am in Ursula’s Castle, please save me”. Princess Amalia took off and headed towards Ursula’s Castle. Before she took off she remembered to bring her wand and her magical jandals.
Finally, she reached Ursula’s Castle, it looked a bit like a haunted castle. While walking in there was a vicious dog tied up to a sign saying “ Come on up”.
The lonely princess tip toed up the staircase. In every room there would be a black horse attached to the door of the room. She finally reached the end of the staircase, and then she begun to search for Ursula and Arthur.
She first looked in the kitchen for Ursula, she just saw a bunch of corn beef leftover messed up all over the kitchen table, so she carried on looking. After checking the kitchen she moved on to the bedrooms, one of the bedrooms were filled with bubbles.
While roaming the ugly house, she remembered that she brought her Iphone and that she has a GPS tracker downloaded on it. There was another sign that read “ No reception or wifi”. Amalia instantly got angry.
She ran to the darkest room of the castle, The room of Doom. She peeked inside and saw a man chained up to a tiger, Amalia was in shock.

Water Pollution
There are many different reasons why is bad for our environment, before mentioning the main point, (Who thinks that pollution is bad for our environment?)
There are different types of pollution, such as, Water Pollution, Air Pollution, Noise Pollution, Soil Pollution, Nuclear Waste Pollution & many others but today I will be focusing on Water Pollution.
What is Water Pollution?
Water Pollution happens when toxic matter enters lakes, rivers, oceans and so on. Not only is this entering oceans, this can end up in the water you shower in, wash your face with and even the water you drink.
Water Pollution is a serious issue because it leads to less freshwater which means that there isn’t enough safe drinking water to support our bodies.
2.4 million people die each year from Water Pollution. When water from rain and melting snow runs off roofs and roads into our rivers or sea, it picks up toxic chemicals, dirt, trash, and diseases along the way. Water Pollution affects not only individual living things, but can also contaminate cities & even people.
At least 320 million people in China do not have access to clean drinking or showering water & Fourteen billion pounds of garbage mostly plastic, is dumped in the ocean every year. Water Pollution affects drinking water, lakes, oceans all over the world. In many countries it is usually a cause of death.
I think that we can stop this issue by stop littering and start recycling and also start thinking about all the animals that are dying. Thank You and I hope my speech has taught you something.
Audrey Hepburn
Here in Room 6, we have been doing presentations about someone who changed the world. I picked Audrey Hepburn because she was one of my favourite olden day actress.
